Frederick's life began on October 5, 1908 in Bristol, England, the son of Frederick J. and Ada (Pritchard) Green. As a young man, he sold lamp oil door to door in Bristol and for a short time worked in a printing shop, as his father did. Frederick was united in marriage to the former Gertrude Webber on August 5, 1936 in Richmond Hills, NY and they enjoyed 63 years of marriage. Frederick served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church, a former member of the Sister Lakes Community Church and the American Legion Post #365. Frederick had a strong faith in the Lord and memorized countless passages of scripture. He enjoyed playing the organ. His loving family includes his son Stanley (Bonnie) Green of Dowagiac, grandsons Todd Green, Shawn (Amber) Green, and Scott (Charity) Green, all of Dowagiac, and five great grandchildren.
