Linda's Obituary
Linda's life began on November 28, 1951 in Dowagiac, the daughter of Cliff and Marvel (Kidman) DeGraff. She was a 1970 graduate of Dowagiac Union High School. Linda was united in marriage to Kenneth Gaideski on June 13, 1970 at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church in Dowagiac. She worked for many years at Trackside Restaurant and she worked as a pharmacy tech at the Dowagiac Drug Store and Pamida. She was a parishioner at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Sister Lakes, a member of the Dowagiac Women of the Moose Lodge #1508 and a member of VFW Post #1855 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid golfer and liked to visit the casino. Linda's world revolved around her family and especially her grandchildren. Her loving family includes her husband of 39 years Kenny Gaideski of Dowagiac, her mother Marvel DeGraff of Dowagiac, daughters Denise (Kevin) McIntyre of Dowagiac, Nicole (Tim) Hulett of Cassopolis, and son Kenny J. (Melinda) Gaideski of Dowagiac, grandchildren Mekenna, and Morgan Gaideski and Taylor and Jessie Hulett, sisters Joyce (Dick) Pond and Gloria (John) Collins, both of Dowagiac, Judy Torbet of Elkhart and brothers Larry (Susan) DeGraff of Niles, and Lony DeGraff of Dowagiac, and several nieces and nephews. Linda passed away at her home on Saturday January 23, 2010 after a long and courageous struggle. She is preceded in death by her father Cliff DeGraff. Linda's family will gather with friends on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where Deacon Frank Wesolowski will lead the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church led by Father Patrick Craig. Linda will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the America Cancer Society or Hospice at Home.
