Shirley Sue Pease

Sue's life began on April 4, 1930 in Dowagiac, the daughter of Maurice and Florence (Weller) Springsteen. She was united in marriage to Homer Pease on June 8, 1951 at the Federated Church in Dowagiac. Sue was a member of the Federated Covenant Church. She was a life member, past secretary and treasurer of the Dowagiac Conservation Club. Past Worthy Matron and secretary treasurer of the Order of Eastern Star #263, past president and past Noble Grand of Rebekah Assembly of Michigan Lodge #252 . Sue taught school for many years in the Cass and Berrien Counties. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Homer Peas of Niles. Sue passed away on January 20, 2010 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was preceded in death by her parents. Her family will gather with friends on Monday, January 25, 2010 at Yazel & Clark Chapel from 10am to 12 pm where her funeral services will be held at 12 noon.
