Judy L. Vanfossen

Judy’s life began on April 2, 1941 in Grand Haven, the daughter of Wiley and Patricia P. (Schoulten) VanFossen. She was a 1959 graduate of Dowagiac Central High School. Judy served her country in the United States Marine Corps. Judy had been employed by the Rudy Stove Company, Jessup Door Company and at the Cass County Courthouse. She was a member of the Cass County Post #1855 of the VFW. Her family includes her sister Lynn (Chester) Bonine of Dowagiac, Joan (Ken) Sisk of Texas, and Jerie Christensen of Dowagiac, and brother Phillip “Red” Schoulten of Dowagiac. Judy passed away at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo on July 30, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Jim Schoulten and Bob Van Austen. Judy will be laid to rest in South Wayne Cemetery during a private graveside ceremony led by Pastor Justin Shepard. McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home is serving the family.
