Sherry Northrop

Sherry’s life began on December 3, 1963 in Compton, CA, the daughter of William Jann, Sr. and Judy Barrett Jann McLean. She was united in marriage to Danny Northrop on May 6, 1989 in Dowagiac. Sherry loved the outdoors. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with her husband. She played tennis and liked to swim. Sherry loved her children and enjoyed spending time with them. Her loving family includes her husband Danny Northrop of Shelby, NC, her parents William Jann, Sr. of Fort Wayne and Judy McLean of Niles, her children Amber Jann of Kalamazoo, Johnny Northrop of Constantine, and Danny Northrop, Jr. of Elkhart, six grandchildren, sisters Vicki Orrick of Fort Wayne, Brenda Lintz of Niles, brothers Bill Jann, Jr. of Niles, Bryan Jann of Edwardsburg, and Jesse Jann of South Bend, and several nieces and nephews. Sherry passed away on May 1, 2009 in Shelby, NC. Her family will gather with friends on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Dowagiac, led by Pastor Robert L. Geans, Sr. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to her family in care of Danny Northrop.
