Sherry's Obituary

Sherry’s life began on October 10, 1966 in Dowagiac, the daughter of Robert Gross and Elaine Webster Carpenter. She was united in marriage to Rodney Bale, Jr. on July 7, 1993 in Cassopolis. She loved her children and was always outgoing and friendly. Her loving family includes her husband Rodney of Dowagiac, her parents Robert (Karen) Gross of Sister Lakes, and Elaine (Vance) Carpenter of Sister Lakes, her children Jesse (Kirsten) Gross of Dowagiac, Jason Bankston and Alissa Bankston, both of Dowagiac, and Joshua Bale of Sister Lakes, seven grandchildren Cassie Gross, Meadow Gross, James Gross, Thomas Gross, Isaac Cooper, Aleera Ruiz, and Artie Ruiz, sisters Susan Ayers of Dowagiac, Brenda (Bryan) Jann, Jr. of Edwardsburg, Denise (Tony) Muha of Dowagiac and brother Lucky Carpenter, Jr. of Dowagiac. Sherry passed away on May 1, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Her memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday May 7, 2009 at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, Dowagiac, led by Pastor Bob Wallace.
