Maggie's Obituary

Maggie’s life began on March 16, 1944 in Estill, KY, the daughter Jack and Millie (Helton) Pasley. Maggie had many jobs in her life but her greatest job was that of a mother. She worked for Sundstrand Corporation in Dowagiac for many years. She also tended bar for a time and most recently retired from working for Dr. Boonchoo Chang. She was a member of the Lady of the Moose in Dowagiac and loved to golf, play cards and go to the casino. Maggie was remembered as an outstanding bowler and a great friend. Her greatest joy was her family which includes her son Charles (Donna) Mersereau of Dowagiac, and daughter Jacquelyn Mersereau of Dowagiac, grandchildren Margaret Yeager, Chucky Mersereau, Matthew Mersereau, Justin Mersereau, Ricky Wesaw, Brandon Reed, Rayann Scott, Selena Mersereau and Tayah Thomas, two great grandchildren Stephen Yeager and J. J. Whitmire, sisters Lillian “Sis” Mather of Irons, MI, and Margie Adams of Wisconsin, brothers Jim “Roy” Pasley and Willie Pasley of Dowagiac. Maggie passed away at her home on Tuesday April 28, 2009. She is preceded in death by her sister Waveline Pasley and brother Elgin Pasley. Her family will gather with friends on Saturday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home where her service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday led by Pastor Boyd Saylor of the Keeler Church of God. She will be laid to rest in Keeler Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Children of the Moose Charities.
