Mary R. Williams

Mary’s life began on May 13, 1928, in Scotland County, North Carolina, the daughter of William and Katherine (Tiddy) McNeil. She was a high school graduate and worked managing Fine Foods and Mary’s Restaurant. Mary was united in marriage to Henry Williams, Jr in 1966 in Kentucky. Mary enjoyed gardening. Her greatest joy in life was her family which includes her husband Henry, children Marshall Lynn Childs of Dowagiac, Edward (Laura) Childs of Dowagiac, Henrietta Sharp of Noblesville, IN, 4 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, sister Katherine McNeill-Webb of North Carolina, brother Daniel Brown McNeill of North Carolina. Mary passed away on March 26, 2009 in Cassopolis, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her son, Charles “Mack” McNeill-Kendall, siblings William, Archie, John, Edwin McNeill and Sara McNeill-Hartman. Mary’s family will receive friends from 11-1 p.m. at the Keeler Church of God in Keeler where her funeral service will be led by Pastors Boyd and Jamie Saylor at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Keeler Cemetery.
