Lois's Obituary

Lois’s life began on March 19, 1920 in Fulton, IN, the daughter of Marion and Erma (Stanley) Murden. She is a graduate of Michigan City High School. Lois was united in marriage to George L. Hatheway on September 19, 1941. She was employed by VM Corporation as a supervisor. Lois had been a parishioner at St. Incarnation Catholic Church in Tampa, FL and Sylvan Abbey in Tampa and enjoyed going to the Berrien County Senior Center. Her loving family includes her children Virginia (Sam) Henderson of LaBelle, FL, Barbara ( Bobby) Barger of Sister Lakes, Mary Lou ( John) Grabemeyer of Eau Claire, and Richard (Christine) Hatheway of Brunswick, GA; 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and counting, brother in law William Hatheway of DeKalb, IL and a niece Suzanne Steinhiser of Texas. Lois passed away on Wednesday March 25, 2009 at Orchard Grove Extended Care Center in Benton Harbor. She is preceded in death by husband George, and her brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held at a later date and she will be laid to rest at Sylvan Abbey in Tampa. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to In House Hospice Solutions.
