Nathan Wilder

Nate’s life began on February 16, 1960 in Dowagiac, the son of James and Katherine (Carpenter) Wilder. He was united in marriage to Shelly Wilder on April 11, 1986 in Cassopolis. Nate worked as a foreman in several area companies. He was a member of the Dowagiac Conservation Club, and enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. Nate enjoyed growing his garden and he was a very talented woodworker. His family includes his parents Jim and Katherine Wilder of Dowagiac, children Matt Wilder of Grand Rapids, Gabe, Leslie and Seth Wilder, all of Dowagiac, sister Doreen (Kevin) Murphy of Cassopolis and brother Stacey (Tammi) Wilder of Dowagiac, sister in law Diana (Bart) Hatch of Niles and brother in law Darren Huffman of Niles, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Nate passed away on March 24, 2009 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He is preceded in death by his wife Shelly in 2008. His family will receive friends on Thursday March 26th from 5-8 p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Bible Church in Dowagiac led by his brother Pastor Stacey Wilder and Reverend Robert Vickroy.
