Marian A. Procter

Marian’s life began on August 4, 1925 in Dowagiac, the daughter of Warren and Helen (Fricke) Yaw. She graduated from Dowagiac Central High School in 1943. Marian was united in marriage to Lee Wilson who preceded her in death. She then married Fred Procter who also preceded her in death. Marian was a sales clerk at Phillipson’s Clothing Store. Marian and Fred enjoyed traveling to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and to California. Each time they traveled they enjoyed taking a different route so they could enjoy the scenery. Her loving family includes her children David S. Procter and Marilee (Robert) Reed both of Dowagiac, her grandchildren Robin Reed, Anne Marie Tews, Mark Reed and Joshua Procter, seven great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Marian passed away at Kairos Dwelling on February 3, 2009. She was preceded in death by her brothers Bill and Jim Yaw. A private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery.
