Bruce E. Huff, 69, of Baroda, passed away, Thursday, December 07, 2017 at his home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 11, 2017 at Saron Lutheran Church, 510 Main St., St. Joseph, with Rev. Joan Oleson officiating. Burial will follow at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda with Military Rites conducted by the North Berrien Military Rites Team. Friends may visit with the family beginning 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Church. Bruce was born March 3, 1948 in Middletown, Ohio to Benjamin & Virginia (Anderson) Huff. He graduated from St. Joseph High School, Class of 1966, and from Michigan State University in 1971 with a degree in landscape design. Bruce served his country during the Vietnam War in the US Navy. On June 13, 1986, he married the former Linda Reifschneider in St. Joseph. Bruce spent his career in the landscaping business, starting with Norton-Peirce and working there for many years. He later gained employment with deBest Landscaping in South Haven from where he retired earlier this year. Bruce loved his work, his customers became his friends. When not at work he was tending to his own lawn & landscape. Bruce was a member of Saron Lutheran Church in St. Joseph.
Bruce is survived by his wife Linda; his children-Aryn (Pedro) deValle of Pensacola, FL, Andrew Huff of Niles, MI & Jay Hendrix of Stevensville; three grandchildren-Mychael Hendrix, Selene Mallory & Brooklyn Huff; his sister Sundeen (Robert) Farnum of Holland, MI; and his two canine companions-Edgar & Maggie May. He was preceded in death by his parents.
