Carolyn M. Rousselle, 87, of Coloma, MI passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at her home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph with Pastor Larry Easton officiating. Burial to follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit from 9:30 AM Saturday until the time of service at the funeral home. Carolyn was born on December 14, 1929 in Lakeside, MI to Kenneth & Alice (Johnson) Burgoyne. On February 14, 1948 she wed the love of her life Edward Rousselle in Benton Harbor. Carolyn kept a busy schedule caring for her home and her children for many years. She went on to work at Sanitary Cleaners then her and Edward built their retirement dream of Dune Lake Campground which they opened in 1970. Carolyn enjoyed traveling and had been to all of the United States & Europe. She spent her winters in Zapata, Texas for 22 years. Carolyn loved dancing the jitterbug and had won many contests. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years Edward, daughter Cindy (Michael) Hallman of Coloma, grandchildren, Angela Hallman of Stevensville and Courtney Rousselle of St. Joseph; great-grandchildren, Tyler Zachary, Adrianna Hopson, Ryan Zachary and Gabe King; brothers, Robert Burgoyne and Rodney (Carol) Burgoyne and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Edward Rousselle in 2005, granddaughter Kristie Sanchez on Nov. 26, 2017, brothers Harold, Roger, and Roy Burgoyne; sisters Leatrice Tillman and Louise Rinehart.
