Juanita Lockridge

Juanita's life began on July 4, 1922 in Dowagiac, the daughter of Edward and Bessie Mae (Farrow) Roberts. She was united in marriage to Wilbur Lockridge on June 27, 1941 in Niles. She was a nurse at Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac for several years. She and her husband were faithful members and supporters of the Second Baptist Church. Juanita was very active in the church community. Her loving family includes her son Ronald (Susan) Lockridge of Aliso Viejo, CA, grandchildren Ronald Lockridge of Seattle, WA, Rick Lockridge of Portage, Randy Lockridge of Allegan, Kimberli Hunter of Kalamazoo, and Lesa Lockridge of Aliso Viejo, CA, sisters June Parker and Jackie Mitchell and several nieces and nephews. Juanita passed away on August 28, 2010 at Fairview Nursing Home in Centerville, MI. She is preceded in death by her husband Wilbur in 1978. Her family will gather with friends on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where her funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday led by Sister Rebecca Mitchell. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Second Baptist Church.
