Margaret Howard-Farmer

Margaret's life began on August 20, 1926 in Chiefland, FL, the daughter of Wardell and Dora Alma (Moore) Burnham. She was united in marriage to Roger Howard and later to Robert Farmer. Margaret had been employed by the Cass County Medical Care Center as a nurse's aid for several years. Her loving family includes her daughters Carolyn Elrod of Chiefland, FL, and Alice Owens of Niles, sons Marty Howard of Niles, David Howard of Niles, and Kenneth (Sheila) Howard of Dowagiac, grandchildren Debbie Elrod of Chiefland, FL, Angela Elrod-Wright of Niles, Dan Elrod of Edwardsburg, Elizabeth (Robert) Elrod-Smith of Chiefland, FL, Michael Schram of Niles, Lisa Johnson of Niles, Marty Howard, Jr. of Niles, Tabitha Howard of Niles, Reeta Echavarria of Colorado, Deanna Echavarria of Niles, Corey (Cindy) Howard of Dowagiac and John ( Melanie) Howard of Dowagiac, her sister Thelma Heaton of Alabama and several nieces and nephews. Margaret passed away on Saturday August 20, 2011 at Riveridge Manor in Niles. She is preceded in death by husband Roger Howard, a son John Howard, sisters Ella Mae Braswell, and Kathy Burnham, brothers James White, Bill Burnham, Robert Lee Burnham and Ralph Burnham. Her family will gather with friends on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel. Graveside services and burial will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens led by Pastor Scott Saylor.
