Vicky's Obituary

Vicky M. Hartman, 78, of Stevensville (formerly of Coloma), passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Pine Ridge, A Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Lincoln Township. A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 6:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 19 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Bible Teacher/Speaker Shaun R. Jackson officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Save-A-Stray of St. Joseph. Vicky was born March 7, 1938 in St. Joseph to Volney and Ruby (Wygent) Phillips and attended St. Joseph High School. She married Donald Hartman on June 4, 1977 and together they owned and operated Park Road Adult Foster Care Home in Coloma. An avid crafter, Vicky especially enjoyed working with all things floral. She would create wedding bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, and decorate reception halls. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all fortunate enough to know her. Vicky is survived by her daughters, Vicky (Robert) Wagner of St. Joseph, Virginia Hauf of Woodinville, WA, Jeanette Haldy of Watervliet, Delores Hauf of Watervliet, Amy (Mike) Schaub of Stevensville, and Lorie Kiser of Saint Cloud, FL; grandchildren, Sydney and Michaela Schaub, Stephen (Patti) Barrow, Jason (Julie) Querfurth, Joshua Roeder, James Roeder, (AJ) Arthur (Megan) Wagner and Nicole Kiser; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Hartman; and sister, Delores
