Larry Davis

Larry Davis, 66, of Benton Harbor, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Hanson Hospice in Stevensville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church, 2026 Highland St. in Benton Harbor with Pastor Eddie C. Wright officiating. Friends may visit with the family before the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow at Kelson Cemetery in Arbroth, LA on Saturday, June 25, 2016.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Diana Davis.  Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so online at www.starks-menchinger.com. Larry was born on August 16, 1949 in Glynn, LA to Nathaniel and Eloise (Wheeler) Davis, Sr. On March 31, 1982 he married Diana Johnson in Berrien County, MI. Larry retired from Benton Harbor School System after driving bus for many years.  He also was an ordained minister.  Larry enjoyed being a foster grandparent at Kinder Garden Discovery in Benton Harbor and going fishing every chance he could.  Most of all, he was a big family man and loved spending time with his family. Larry is survived by his father, Nathaniel; wife, Diana; daughters Tonya Brumfield and Rachel Green both of IN; sons Kedrick Brumfield and Marlon Brumfield both of TX, Mark Brumfield of Benton Harbor and Landry Davis of Baton Rouge, LA; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters and 3 brothers. Larry was preceded in death by his Mother; five brothers and one granddaughter.
