Hazel Wyman

Hazel Wyman, 80, of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at Caretel Inns of Lakeland in St. Joseph.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Christopher Noffke officiating. Friend may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home or the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan. On May 14, 1976 she married Robert Wyman in St. Joseph, MI. Hazel worked at the Berrien County Courthouse as a Secretary for over 31 years. In 1996 Hazel was named the state’s Legal Professional of the year. In her spare time she enjoyed animals and playing the organ.  Hazel is survived by a sister-in-law Donna Wyman Rody; many nieces and nephews; special friends Beth Wild and Max Ballard; and caretakers Kay Hefner, Christine Froberg and Denise Handy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and brother George Schmidt.
