Jill G. Mielke

Jill G. Mielke, 75, of Stevensville, MI, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph, MI.   A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Friday, December 12, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Memorial contributions may be made to Nickerson Animal Health Center or American Diabetes Association. She was proud to be in the first graduating class of Lakeshore High School in 1958. Upon returning home from the Army, Jill worked for the Berrien County Sherriff’s Department from July 2, 1962 until September 3, 1983. She loved Boxers and German Shepherds, especially Kery, Cindy Liu, and Brandy Louise.   Jill is survived by her brother, Thomas (Kay) Mielke of South Haven, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Julia (Bodjack) Mielke, and brothers, William Mielke and Myron “Bud” Mielke.
