Wanda Rutherford, 64, of Dowagiac, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014, 11:00 A.M., at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI, and Burial will follow at Crystal Springs Cemetery, Benton Harbor, MI. Visitation with the family will precede the service from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. with the funeral to follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Wanda was born in Caraway, Arkansas on March 1, 1950 to William Collins and Ruby Jones. Wanda loved spending time with her family and had unconditional love for all. She was known as Mom and Granny to many. Wanda is survived by her mother Ruby Jones Gaona; husband William David Rutherford; her children: Billy Wayne Brooks of Tucson, AZ, David Wayne (Cande) Rutherford of Covert, MI, Kari (Robert Hamilton) Pullins of Dowagiac, Ruby (Jonathon Jones) Rutherford of Dowagiac and Shannon (Billy) Kinchen of Dowagiac; son in-law Emmitt Pullins Sr. 19 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers: Bill Collins, Rick Collins, Eddie Collins, and Benny Gaona; and sisters: Laura Collins, Debra Connor and Ramona Earl. Wanda is preceded in death by her father; step-mother Lorraine Connor; daughter Dena Bishop; and two brothers: Eddie Boyd Collins and Mark Connor.
