Mary Elizabeth Gustafson

Mary ?Betty? Elizabeth Gustafson, 85, of St. Joseph passed away Tuesday, August 02, 2005, at Caretel Inns of Royalton. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, August 5, 2005 with Dr. Gary Cowall officiating at Saron Evangelical Lutheran Church, 510 Main St., St. Joseph. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may call on the family from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. She married Edward Gustafson April 9, 1949 in St. Joseph. Mary loved to play Bridge, was active in church as a Sunday School Teacher at Saron Lutheran Church, was a charter member of High Cliff Terrace Garden Club and was a member of the Saron Dorcas Club. Betty is survived by her sons ? Daniel (Linda) Gustafson of St. Joseph, and Kenneth Gustafson of Coloma; three grandchildren ? Mary Kay, Andy, and Dylan Gustafson; and sisters ? Jean (Francis) Stone of Vestel, New York, and Eleanor Cunningham of St. Joseph. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward in 1999.
