Cornelia Fern Wright, 94, formerly of Stevensville, died June 22, 2004 at Lakeland Specialty Hospital- Berrien Center. Friends may call from 1:00 – 2:00PM, Thursday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday at the funeral Home, with burial to follow at Riverview cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. She moved to this area in 1939. She worked for Pyramid Oil Company for 35 years as a Bookkeeper and secretary. She was a member of Riverview Park Christian Church where she was the church Treasurer for 33 years. During her later years she enjoyed traveling and she visited all 50 States, Canada, and Mexico. She is survived by her granddaughters – Gail (Bob) Horton of Coloma and JoAnn (Terry) Hoover of Berrien Center; 11 Great grandchildren; and 5 Great great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her daughter Norma Jean Phillis in 1979, a grandson Michael Phillis in 2004 and a brother Raymond Downey in 1967.
