Janice's Obituary

Janice L. Fleisher, 67, of St. Joseph, went to meet her Lord & Savior Thursday, December 23, 2004, at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church, 3003 Leco Ct., St. Joseph with Rev. Wade Panse officiating. Burial will follow at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Monday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Michigan Heart Association or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Mrs. Fleisher was born May 12, 1937 in Kendallville, Indiana to Forrest & Leoma (Stonebraker) France. On January 5, 1963, she married Francis ?Ted? Fleisher in Kendallville. She was employed for eight years as a lab technician at Mercy Hospital in Benton Harbor. Most recently, Janice was the librarian at Brown School in St. Joseph, retiring in 1997 after seventeen years of employment. Janice was a member of First United Methodist Church in St. Joseph where she volunteered in the library and formerly was a Sunday School Teacher. She was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed quilting. Janice is survived by her husband Ted; her son John (Jill) Fleisher of Lapeer, Michigan; her daughter Sarah (Brian) Moore of St. Joseph; six grandchildren-Wyatt, Wesley, Shane & Caiden Fleisher; Tommy & Hannah Moore; and two sisters-Jean (Dave) Baker & Betty (Jerry) Preston, both of Kendallville.
