Jessie's Obituary
Jessie L. Kelm, 65 of St. Joseph, Died December 31, 2001 at
Lakeland Hospital St. Joseph.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 Wednesday at Starks &
Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph.
Officiate will be Rev. Larry Olson. Visitation will be from
5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday and burial will be at North Shore
Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to Kidney
Foundation.
Jessie was born on June 28 1936 to William and Stella (West)
Horton in St. Joseph. She was co-owner of Kelm Bakery and
Coffee Bar in Stevensville, with her husband until she retired
in 1973
During her life she enjoyed her children, grandchildren and
great grandchildren; she also liked to fish and play bingo.
Survived by her husband Richard of St. Joseph, who she
married on January 20,1951. Three daughters Carol Edwards
of Baroda, Audrey (Doug) Smith of Whitney Point, NY;
Barbara (Lee) French of Stevensville, Two sons David Kelm
of Benton Township, Dale (Candi) Kelm Jackson, Miss;
Grandchildren Jerry (Angie) Crowder, Ryan & Matthew
Kelm, Sara & Sam French, Adrienne & Jennifer Smith,
Rachel Hearne; Great grandchildren Justin & Faith Crowder,
Austin Kelm
Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Wilbur
Horton, Donald Horton, Richard Horton
