Edwin J. Wesner, 72, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at home surrounded by his loving wife and family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm, on Friday, June 27, at First Assembly of God, 3084 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Fred Davey and Rev. Dan Miller officiating. Burial with Military Rites will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 6-8p.m., Thursday, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. He was a life long resident of Benton Harbor. After serving in the U.S. Army in the Korean War Edwin married Mary Woodruff on June 9, 1958. Ed worked at Signal Delivery for forty-two and a half years as a truck driver and was a member of the First Assembly of God. Survivors include his wife Dude Mary; children ? Mickey (Linda) Reynolds of Berrien Springs, Terry Woodruff of Benton Harbor, Sheila (Ralph) Price of Eau Claire, Doug Wesner of Coloma, and Ricky (Debbie) Malich of St. Joseph; grandchildren ? Troy, Machelle (Rod), Ryan, Randy, Stephanie, Keith, Stacy, Chris, Lindsey and Roger; great-grandchildren ? Kasey and Jessica; and one niece – Emily (Bill). Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Olga Wesner, and a sister, Phyllis Mosier.
