Shirley Roberts

Shirley Jean Roberts (McDaniel), 80, of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. Shirley was born in Senath, Missouri to Grover and Delphia (Roach) McDaniel on June 2, 1938. She married Raymond Roberts on August 30, 1954. They were happily married for 64 years. They loved each other very much and enjoyed traveling together. Shirley also enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jimmy McDaniel, sister Anita Johnson, and her two sons Randy and Steve Roberts. Shirly is survived by her husband, sisters Janice Rounsville and Rhonda Rossman; brother Johnny McDaniel; daughter-in-law’s Hilda and Connie Roberts; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 11, 2019 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Charles Engler officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Berrien Center. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Calvary’s Lighthouse Church.
