Lauretta's Obituary

Lauretta F. Titman, 94, of Coloma, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at Spectrum Health-Lakeland. A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., with Pastor Dan Golladay officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Memorial donations in Lauretta’s name may be made to The Salvation Army, Berrien County Cancer Service or Napier Parkview Baptist Church. Those wishing to sign Lauretta’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Lauretta was born May 12, 1924 in Siren, Wisconsin to Henry & Corrine (Edelkam) Frost. She attended Minneapolis Bible College in Minneapolis. On November 17, 1944 she married George R. Titman in Billings, Montana. The family moved to Hagar Shores where Lauretta cared for her family and, after the children were grown, worked numerous years selling Real Estate in St. Joseph. Lauretta was a member of Napier Parkview Baptist Church in Fairplain. She devoted her life to her family and her Church, and in her spare time enjoyed playing her dulcimer and tending to her flower gardens-especially her roses. Lauretta is survived by her children-Linda (Ken) Kozara of East Amherst, NY, Roberta (Ron) Goldman of Falls Church, VA, David (Cathie) Tilman of Minneapolis, MN, Trudy (Bill) Unsworth of Portage, MI; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; her sister Virginia Silvester of Layton, UT; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband George on March 12, 1998, her granddaughter Sarah Tilman in 2009, and by two brothers & two sisters.
