Jeanette Carol Taylor

Jeanette Carol Taylor, 68. of Benton Harbor, MI, passed away in her home on or about February 28, 2019. Jeanette was born on Sept 28, 1950, in St Joseph, Michigan, to Adeline M. (Rossa) and Ira Linus Barnes. She was a 1968 graduate of Saint Joseph High School and a life time resident of St. Joseph and Benton Harbor. Jeanette began her life-long nursing career as a nurse’s aide at Shoreham Terrace Nursing Home while in high school. She received an LPN degree from Lake Michigan College and a Registered Nursing degree from Western Michigan University. Jeanette worked in the nursing profession at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, South Haven Memorial Hospital and as a nurse and supervisor at Shoreham Terrace Nursing Home, St. Joseph and Orchard Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Benton Harbor. She was passionate about reading, learning and refining her nursing skills. She enjoyed helping and saving homeless dogs and cats and placing them with friends. Jeanette is survived by a brother, Charles A. Taylor of Madison, Alabama; sisters, Loretta H. Taylor of Oviedo, Florida and Vivian F. Wilbon, of Littleton, Colorado; nieces, Katherine L. Wolf, of Titusville, Florida, Patty A. Schonehiem of Knoxville, Tennessee, Kimberly J. Simons of Indianapolis, Indiana; and nephews, Richard W.T. Pribbernow of Crestview, Florida, and Van A. Taylor of St. Joseph, Michigan. A Celebration of Life gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
