Leola's Obituary
Leola Pauline Domke, 86, of Sodus, MI passed away in her home on Thursday – February 13, 2020. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.
Leola was born on July 30, 1933 in Lincoln Township, MI to the late Roy and Edna (Ott) Lucker. On May 5, 1951 in Benton Harbor, MI she married Raymond Domke, Sr; he preceded her in death in March 2011. Leola loved reading books, camping, and was proud of her holding a GMRS License.
Leola is survived by a son – Richard (Frances) Domke of Benton Harbor, MI; grandchildren – Brian and Cari; step-grandchildren – Jerry, Tina and Jackie; numerous step-great grandchildren; a brother – Gerald Lucker of FL; and her best friend and caregiver – Craig Fair. Also preceding Leola in death are her son, Raymond Allen Domke, brothers – Roy and Alvin, and sisters – Luella, Lucille, Laverne and Katie.
A Celebration of Life service will take place on Tuesday-February 18, 1:30pm, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel in St. Joseph, MI. Visitation with the family will precede the service from 12:30-1:30pm at the funeral home. Following these services burial will take place at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville, MI.
