Betty's Obituary

Betty Louise Marcheschi, 86, of Stevensville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. She was born January 29, 1934 in Gridley, CA to Manuel and Mary (Silva) Cardoza. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am, Monday, March 2, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 Church St., St. Joseph. The family will receive guests from 9am until 10am, Monday, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL. Betty truly enjoyed life, and the people in it. She loved her children, grandchildren, extended family and pets. It was the simple things she found pleasure in – dancing with her husband, flowers and gardening, watching the birds in her backyard, keeping up to date on current events, and watching college and pro football with her son in law. In her younger days, Betty took to the fine arts; a beautiful singer and stage actor, she never stopped appreciating the arts. Betty was a pet lover, had a sweet tooth and took pride in seasonally decorating her house, especially for Christmas. Betty is survived by her daughters, Betty J. Marcheschi, Michelle (Charles) Williams, and Theresa A. (Joseph) Przybylski; her grandchildren, Jennifer Jones, Matthew Wilson, Eric Jankowski, Rebecca Wilson-Robinson, Nichole Jankowski, and Adam Wilson; her great grandchildren, Mia, Zoe, Ashton, Gabriel, Lillianna, Braxus, and Alex; her siblings, Genevieve, Lenora, Judy and Robert; and her cat, Suzy-Q. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene J. Marcheschi; four siblings; her parents; and her beloved granddog, Beejette.
