Carol's Obituary

Carol Lynn Wesner (Kish), 82, entered eternal life in heaven on March 26, 2020. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date. Private Graveside services at Riverview Cemetery will be conducted by Reverend Joshua Bishop of Grace Lutheran Church. Memorial donations in Carol’s name may be made to Grace Lutheran Church. Those wishing to sign Carol’s Memory Book online may do so at www.Starks-Menchinger.com. Carol was born August 10, 1937 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Harold & Helen (Mensinger) Wesner. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1955 and also graduated magna cum laude from Western Michigan University in 1968. Carol taught English and American Literature at Benton Harbor High School in the 1970s. After a stay in Colorado, she returned to Michigan and worked at Whirlpool as an assistant in the law department until her retirement. Carol was a devoted Christian and loved her Lord. She was a founding member of Grace Lutheran Church and was a current member. Carol had a beautiful Soprano voice which she shared with many churches and friends through the years. She dearly loved all her family, son Robert (Sibyl) Kish, Jr. and daughter Kathleen Rice. Carol is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Wesner; grandchildren Brad (Kristin) Kish, Jessica (Michael) Kinney, Kyle Kish, Maria (Michael) Nelson, Michael (Cherita) Rice, Tyler Rice, Katia Rice, Elena Rice and Natalie Call; great-grandchildren Brayden, Adeline, Molly, Nolen, Miriam, Coria, Ava, Leonine, Oliver & Piper Lynn. She is also survived by dear friends Beth Boyer and Jeff & Mary Sue Enders. She was preceded in death by her parents. Carol will be missed by all who knew her loving spirit. Her memory will live on in our hearts.
