Rex Harry's Obituary
Rex Harry Kark, 77, of South Haven, died on Friday, July 20, 2012. He was born on December 9, 1934 to Elmer and Mary (Youngblood) Kark in South Haven. Rex served his country in the US Army and Air force for seven years. Rex enjoyed NASCAR, deer hunting with family, and getting together with friends and family. Rex loved animals. He also enjoyed joking with all the people he worked with. Rex was a dedicated husband to his wife, Edith “Rainy”, and loved being with his family – especially time spent with his many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Rainy.
Rex is survived by his Step son – Richard Hampton of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Step daughter – Christina Hampton of Bangor. 3 brothers – Donald (Diana) Kark, Zane (Bessie) Kark, and Benny (Marcia) Kark all of South Haven. A sister – Elizabeth (Pat) Bigoness of South Haven. 3 grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will take place on Monday, July 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 24 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Jeffrey S. Dick officiating. Rex will be laid to rest at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township.
