Shirley Covey

Shirley June Covey, 87, of South Haven, died on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born on June 17, 1925 to Edwin and Gladys (Fowler) Villwock in South Haven. Shirley married AB Covey on Aug. 28, 1943 in South Haven. Years ago Shirley worked at several of the resorts in the area and at the GC Murphy Company. She and her husband owned and operated Blue Star Glass for many years. Shirley enjoyed playing the piano and listening to music, working in her flower garden, feeding the birds, but most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – A B Covey who died in 2011; a sister – Carol Sheputis, and two brothers – Roger and Jack Villwock.
She is survived by her two sons – Bruce (Linda) Covey of South Haven, Michigan and Lance (Judy) Covey of Glenn, Michigan;Seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one greatgreatgrandson.A brother – Kenneth Villwock of San Diego, California;two sisters – Jean Villwock of Tieton, Washington, and Joyce Rediess of Springgrove, Kentucky also survive.
