Irene's Obituary
Irene Sisson, 87, of South Haven, Michigan rose to dance with the angels on Sunday, June 10 at her home. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to Antonio Caolo and Louise (Benedetto) Caolo on June 7, 1925.
Irene worked as a seamstress in New York city and in her earlier years in South Haven. She later found employment in Bangor at Standard Coil, in South Haven with South Haven Coil and South Haven Rubber Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Cecil John Sisson and two older brothers, Joseph and Micheal.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin E. Sisson, and three adult children. Cecil Anthony (Cecilia) Sisson of Liberty, Missouri. Michael Angelo (Marian) Sisson of South Haven. Irene Ann (Eric) McQueen of South Haven. Vincent Caolo, her younger brother, of South Haven, Michigan.
Irene is also survived by five grandchildren, Michelle, Mike, Matt, Lee and Doug and two great-grandchildren, Joel and Aurora.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 14th from 4pm to 6pm at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will take place at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home at 1pm Friday, June 15th with Doug Clayton officiating. She will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven.
