Cornelio's Obituary
Cornelio Lorenzo Ortiz, 82, of Geneva Township died Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He was born September 16, 1929 to Morcial Lorenzo and Petra Ortiz in Guerrero, Azulakes, Mexico.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by a son – Juan Kirino Lorenzo. 4 sisters – Rosa Lorenzo, Marselina Lorenzo, Ricarda Lorenzo, and Maria Lorenzo. 1 brother – Felix Lorenzo. And 1 grandchild.
Cornelio is survived his wife – Virginia Martinez de Lorenzo of Bangor. 5 sons – Hipolito (Martha) Lorenzo, Adelfo (Marcolfa) Lorenzo, Marcial (Maria) Lorenzo, Fernando (Martha Rodriguez) Lorenzo, and Guadalupe (Yadira) Lorenzo. 3 daughters – Alva (Adria) Lorenzo, Adaly Ever (Arturo Rivas) Lorenzo, and Marisol Segura. 29 grand children. One brother – Reynaldo Lorenzo also survive.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Friday, June 8 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral mass will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 9 at the St. Basil Catholic Church with Father Fabio Garzon officiating. Burial will take place at Arlington Hill Cemetery in Bangor.
