Maria's Obituary
Maria DeLeon-Lara, 52, of Pullman died on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born to Paulino and Venancia (Lara) DeLeon on March 30, 1960 in Matehuala, SLP, Mexico. Maria was very devoted to the Virgin Mary and attended San Felipe Catholic Church. She also loved to garden, especially enjoying flowers.
She is preceded in death by her father.
Maria is survived by her mother – Venancia DeLeon. Four brothers – Jose Santos DeLeon-Lara, Isaias DeLeon-Lara, Juan Eliseo DeLeon-Lara, and Gerardo DeLeon-Lara. And four sisters – Alma Rubi DeLeon-Lara, Diana Maria DeLeon-Lara, Francisca DeLeon-Lara, and Norma Angelia DeLeon-Lara. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 24, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral in South Haven. Funeral mass will be held Friday, May 25 at 2:00 PM at the San Felipe De Jesus Catholic Church in Pearl, Michigan with Father Fabio Garzon officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Lee Township Cemetery.
