Gary's Obituary
Gary L. Morris, 65, of South Haven, formerly of Coopersville, died Saturday, April 14 at the Hospice House of Holland surrounded by his family.
He was born March 21, 1947 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Lyle and Ruby (Kilgore) Morris. Gary graduated from Coopersville High School. He married Regina McCain on May 6, 1966 in Grandville, Michigan. Gary worked for Steelcase and Irwin Seating. Gary enjoyed classic cars, watching westerns and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his parents – Lyle and Ruby Morris and step-mother – Helen Bush and father-in-law – Ernest McCain, brother - Larry Morris, sister – Alice Turner, two grandsons – Craig Allen Hibma Jr. and Jacob Allen Soles, and a great grand daughter – Jaidyn Lynn Selby.
He is survived by his wife – Regina Morris of South Haven, Michigan. His daughters – Melody (John) Soles of South Haven, Michigan, Vicki Arntz of Monroe, Michigan, Michelle (Jason) Cates of Hudsonville, Michigan, Amber (Casey) Ingersoll of Muskegon, Michigan and twin daughters – Mariah and Emma Morris of South Haven, Michigan. 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Siblings –his twin brother Jerry (Wendy) Morris of Morley, Michigan, Ron (Marga) Morris of White Cloud, Michigan, and Nancy (Richard) Borgman of Magnolia, Texas. His mother-in-law – Virginia McCain of Grand Haven, Michigan. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Services and reception will take place on Thursday, April 19, at 11:00 AM at the River Haven Club House, 14546 Mercury Dr. in Grand Haven Township.
