Steven's Obituary
Steven Wayne De Bortoli, 66, of South Haven passed away Sunday, March 11 at South Haven Health Systems.
He was born July 16, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio to William and Irene (Pakari ) De Bortoli. Steven served his country in the U.S. Army for 2 years and the U.S. Coast Guard for 14 years. He married Debra Fitzpatrick on May 28, 1982 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Most recently, Steven worked for Sligh Clocks and Howard Miller. Steven had a fascination with clocks and collector as well. Steven attended the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in South Haven.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his sister – Cindy Cantwell and brother - Greg De Bortoli.
He is survived by his seven children – Robin (Dale) Robbins of Cape Coral,Florida, Chris (Stephanie) De Bortoli of Traverse City, Michigan, Jason De Bortoli of Niles, Michigan, Ashton De Bortoli of St. Ignace, Michigan, Ryan De Bortoli of Charleston, South Carolina, Shannon De Bortoli of Yokosuka, Japan, and Jonathon De Bortoli of South Haven, Michigan. 10 grandchildren. One brother – Chris (Myrna) De Bortoli of Folsom, California and three sisters – Debbie De Bortoli of Carson City, Nevada, Becky De Bortoli of Sacramento, California, and Vanessa Ellison of Seattle, Washington also survive.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 17, at 3:00 PM at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Schmid officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made Children’s Wish Network or to the Alzhiemer’s Association.
