Kenneth's Obituary
Kenneth “Ken” Eugene Bard, 57, of Grand Junction, died on January 21, 2012 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in South Haven, MI. He was born on June 28, 1954 to James E. and Ida Belle (Boyton) Bard in South Haven. Ken worked for Bohn Aluminum for 25 years retiring in 1997. He was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Ken loved to take rides by the beach and he also enjoyed shooting pool and bowling. Ken was a member of the American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers – Thomas Bard and Charles Bard
Ken is survived by his wife, Kathy Bard of Grand Junction, MI and 4 children – Kenny (Shannon) Bard Jr., of Grand Junction, MI, Kirk Bard of Pullman, MI, Kris Bard and Kevin Bard of South Haven, MI. Three grandchildren – Ariana, Hunter and Colton Bard. His sister – Esther Johnson of Fennville, MI, Jim (Susan) Bard, Keith (Wilda) Bard and Robert Bard of South Haven, MI, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 25, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Howard Hardy officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Church of the Nazarene or to the family.
