Kenneth R. Flora

Kenneth R. Flora, age 83, of Casco Township passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011 at his residence. He was born August 5, 1928 to Zeb and Edna (Kuney) Flora in Pullman, Michigan. Ken worked at Pullman Industries for 35 years until his retirement in 1991. He liked going to church and was a member of Casco United Methodist Church where he served as the head usher for several years. Ken enjoyed playing bingo, going for walks, meeting people at McDonald’s for coffee and just being with people. Ken was a great father and loved he was loved by everyone.

He is preceded by his parents and his wife Lula Flora who died April 26, 2000, one brother Lawrence Flora, his twin sister Alice Bennet and his sisters – Irene Allers, Freda Stevens, Leona Flora, Dorothy Ray, Mable Monomies.

He is survived by his son – Gary (Cindy) Flora of Casco Township, Michigan, one daughter – Sherry (Elry) Grigg of South Haven, Michigan, six grandchildren – Rich, Rachael, Jacob, Nicole, Zeboriah, and Zachary, five great grandchildren – Kaylee, Kaleb, Nattallii, Carly, and Elizabeth, and one sister – Shirley (Ed) Bus of South Haven, Michigan.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev.
