Louie A.'s Obituary
Louie A. Fountain, 87, of South Haven, Michigan passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, November 7, 201l. He was born August 26, 1924 in Portageville, Missouri to Louie O. and Ellen (Sutton) Fountain. He married Dorothy Janco on August 9, 1983 in St. Joseph, Michigan. Louie worked as a truck driver for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, bowling and dancing with his wife.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Louie O. and Ellen Fountain. His daughter, Andrea Meyer. A grandson, Henry Meyer and a brother, Murle Fountain.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Fountain of South Haven, Michigan, and his son – Michael Fountain of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Four step-daughters – Marian Schaaf of Missouri, Irene (Jeff) Mohn of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Angie (Todd) Giesler of South Haven, Martha (John) Hodgeman of Vicksburg, Michigan, and one step son- Charles Gregory of Dearborn, Michigan Two grandsons – Brien and Allen Meyer. Three sisters – Madge Sexton of Festus, Missouri, Opal Brooks of Star City, Arkansas, Barbara McGee of Kansas City, Missouri, and one brother, Jerry Fountain of Pine Bluff, Arkansas
Memorial services will be on Saturday, April 28 from 1-4 pm at South Haven’s American Legion. Memorial contributions may be made to the Al-Van Humane Society. Kindly share your thoughts and memories on the family’s online guestbook at www.FilbrandtFFH.com.
