Wesley "Mike"'s Obituary
Wesley “Mike” Willett, age 82 of South Haven, Michigan passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at his winter home in Brooksville, Florida.
He was born March 21, 1929 in Lacota, MI to Adelbert and Ruth (Warfield) Willett. Mike married Gloria Moore on October 20, 1951 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, recently celebrating 60 years of marriage. Mike worked at Du-Wel, Inc. for 30 years and at Bohn-Aluminum for seven and a half years, leaving in 1985 to start a partnership with Quality Four Machining and retiring in 1997. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in South Haven. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was often seen using his metal detector on local beaches.
He is preceded in death by his parent’s, one sister – Thelma Frazee and one brother- Charles Willett.
He is survived by his wife – Gloria Willett of South Haven, MI., one daughter – Gail (Steven) McGee of Adrian, MI., two sons – Michael (Louise) Willett of Granbury, TX., and Todd (Ronda) Willett of South Haven, MI., ten grandchildren – Jennifer (James) Dotson, Bradley (Paula) Willett, Kristine (Isaac) Wood, Lauren Willett, Taylor Willett, Douglas (Dawn) McGee, Colleen McGee, Rachel Rau, Hannah Rau, Tyler Rau and six great grandchildren. Two sisters – Imogene Mariani of Bloomington, IL, Letty Wilson of Kerrville, TX., and two brothers, Leslie (Wava) Willett of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Lewis (Linda) Willett of South Haven, MI.
Visitation with family members will be held November 12, 2011 from 1-2 PM and the Memorial Service will be from 2-3 PM at the Filbrandt Funeral Home in South Haven.
