Robert's Obituary
Robert Bernard Seroke, age 88, of Benton Harbor died Saturday, October 15, 2011at Bortz Nursing Home in Petoskey, Michigan.
He was born March 20, 1923 in Chicago, Ill to Bruno and Emily (Kaczmarek) Seroke. He worked as a Tool & Die Maker when he retired in 1988. He graduated from South Haven High School in 1942. On September 10, 1944 he married Clara Harsch at St. Paul Lutheran Church in South Haven. Robert moved to Petoskey in 2006. Robert loved hunting, fishing, baseball, and Nascar
He is preceded in death by his parents Bruno and Emily (Kaczmarek) Seroke.
He is survived by his wife Clara Pauline (Harsch) Seroke of Petoskey, Michigan, sister – Sharon Kobe of Glendale Heights, Ill four children – Michael (Sandra) Seroke of South Haven, MI., Paula (Ron) Arnold of Monee, Il, Peggy (Thayer) Chilson of Petoskey, MI., Jacalyn (Terry) Moore of Saginaw, MI., seven grandchildren – Robert (Rebecca) Arnold of Crete, Il., Meghan Arnold of Park City, UT., Ashley Arnold of Nashville, TN, Tayler Seroke of South Haven, MI., Heather Whaley, Brian Chilson, Christopher Heiser. Three great grandchildren – Christian Arnold, Max Arnold and Peyton Heiser.
Visitation will be Friday, October 21, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jon Arndt officiating.
