Hubert Lee Jackson, 59, of Kalamazoo, died Thursday, September 08, 2011 at Tendercare Nursing Home in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born August 3, 1952 to Roy and Minnie Lee (Cole) Jackson. Hubert worked at Gilmore Automotive in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
He is preceded by his parents Roy and Minnie Jackson, his brothers Tommy Jackson and Raymond Jackson, and one sister Rosie Hayes, a niece Linda Hayes, and a nephew Macker Jackson.
He is survived by his daughter Yolonda Prewitt of Kalamazoo, MI, his siblings; Glenda (Allen) Hawkins, of Kalamazoo, Mi., Elder James Jackson of Kalamazoo, Mi., Shirline (Richard) Turman, of Kalamazoo, Mi.., Glady’s (Perry) Broady, of Covert, Mi., Willie C (Ernestine) Hayes of Covert, Mi., Jimmie Lee Jackson of Covert, Mi., Eddie Earl Jackson of Covert, Mi., Terry D. Jackson of South Haven, Mi., Roy Jr. (Pam) Jackson, of South Haven, Mi., Michael Jackson, of South Haven, Mi., grandchildren Tamia Perkins, Charles Perkins IV, Marcus Perkins, Ieisha Prewitt, Myeisha Prewitt, Great Grandchild – Marcus Perkins JR. and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A wake will be held Friday, September 16, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. A service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Minister Allen Hawkins officiating.
