Dorothy's Obituary
Dorothy E. Allen, 92, of South Haven formerly of Grand Rapids, died Monday, August 22, at the River Ridge Retirement Village in South Haven.
She was born December 6, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan to Percy M. and Catherine Dorothy (Savage) Allen. Dorothy worked as a claims representative for the Social Security Administration Office. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Grand Rapids.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Dick Allen.
She is survived by her brothers – Larry (Ginger) Allen of St. Joseph, Michigan and Richard Allen of San Deigo, California. Nieces – Kathleen (Larry) Girard of South Haven, Michigan, Maureen (Matt) Luxem of St. Joseph, Michigan, Dorry Shoopman and Cathy Allen both of San Deigo, California. Nephews – Larry (Kathy) Allen of Houston, Texas, Pat (Lezly) Allen and Phillip Allen both of San Deigo, California also survivies.
Burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.
