Pamela's Obituary
Pamela Elizabeth Hiatt, 67, of South Haven died Tuesday, June 21 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born December 25, 1943 in South Haven, Michigan to Norman D. and Vivian (DieBold) Nelson. Pamela married Melvin B. Hiatt on June 11, 1964 in South Haven. She worked at the S.E. Overton Company until its closing and then the Campbell Mushroom Factory. Pamela enjoyed her grandchildren, flower gardening and going for rides. She also loved her dogs. Pamela was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband – Melvin who died in 2009 and her father Norman Nelson in 1965.
She is survived by her five children – Nicki Evans of Florida, Norman (Becky) Hiatt, Annette (Mike) Riston and Garnette (Rob Adkins) Hiatt all of South Haven, Michigan and Melvin Hiatt Jr. of Sarasota, Florida. 10 grandchildren – Mark, Johnathon, Justin, Brandi, Ashley, Hunter, Macey, Chloe, Hanah and Trevor. Two great grandchildren – Brooklynn and Aubrie. Her mother – Vivian (Garner) Dewatters of Paw Paw, Michigan. One brother – Nick (Carolyn) Nelson of South Haven. Five step grand children – Amy, Craig, Shaun, Heather and Keri. Seven step great grand children also survives.
Memorial services will take place Friday, June 24 at 6:00 P.M. at the United Pentecostal Church in South Haven with Pastor Phillip A. Haner officiating.
