Charlotte's Obituary
Charlotte Cummings Snead, 64, of Berrien Springs died Wednesday, June 15 at home.
She was born September 13, 1946 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Ted Calvin Ferguson and Vinnie Shurn. She married Henry Snead Jr. . Charlotte worked as a Lab Tech for the Berrien County Health Department for 33 years. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church in Benton Harbor.
She is preceded in death along with her parents, and her adoptive parents – Mose and Henry Mae Cummings, by her husband – Henry Snead Jr. who died December 2010, four sisters – Sylvia Shurn, Louise Diggs, Cheryl Cummings, and Rosemary Shurn and one brother Walter Crenshaw.
She is survived by her four children – Carolyn (Dwight) Bowman of Benton harbor, MI., Citholetta Talis – Cummings Franklin of Berrien Springs, MI., Tillies Cummings and Mario Cummings both of Benton Harbor, MI., Ten grandchildren, and four great grandchildren., four brothers – Willie (Christine) Crenshaw of Grover, MO., Ralph Crenshaw, Robert (Katherine) Vaughn, James (Dolly) Crenshaw all of Benton harbor, MI., sisters- Alma White, Jeanette (Elijah) Thompson, Mildred (Willie) Leslie all of Benton Harbor, MI., and Christine (Raynard) Brown of Kalamazoo, Mi., step sisters – Charlotte Childs, and Barbara (Hollis) Morgan, Step brothers – Malcolm Butler and Kevin Hunter. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Wake will be Tuesday, June 21 from 10 – 11 at the Highland Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2075 Highland, Benton Harbor. Funeral services will begin Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Pastor Zebron Ncube officiating. Burial will take place at Ft.
