Ella Marie's Obituary
Ella Marie Troehler, 80, of Glenn, died on Friday, May 27, 2011 at her home.
She was born on Sept. 29, 1930 in Ewing, Missouri to Edna Lucille (Roy) and Carl Leslie. Ella worked for many years as a hospital ward secretary in Quincy, Illinois and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton Troehler, and also by two sisters, Elizabeth Thrasher and Nina Cupp.
Ella is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Linda Anderson) Troehler of Glenn, Michigan and her son, Gregory (Debbie) Troehler of Providence Forge, Virginia. Also, two sisters, Dorothy Salzman of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Joyce Hynek of Quincy, Illinois.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, from 5 to 8 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Burial will take place at the Douglas United Church of Christ’s Memorial Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland (or a hospice of choice) or to an animal shelter of choice.
