Gertrude Anna's Obituary
Gertrude Anna Eldred, 81, of South Haven died Saturday, March 12 at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
She was born July 22, 1929 in South Haven, Michigan to Jacob and Anna (Ellmer) Keck. Gertrude married Frank A. Eldred on November 27, 1947. She was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Gertrude volunteered at South Haven Community Hospital with the Women’s Auxiliary in the Coffee Shop for many years, She enjoyed collecting bells and cardinals.
She is survived by her husband – Frank A. Eldred of South Haven, Michigan. Three children – Dale A. ( Kerry) Eldred of Lawton, Michigan, Donald E. (Anne) Eldred of Mattawan, Michigan and Doreen M. (Chuck) Boy of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Two grandchildren- Matthew (Kim) Eldred of Plainwell, Michigan and Andrea (Todd) Ramsdell of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Four great-grandchildren – Isabella and Matthew Ramsdell and Andrew and Alayna Eldred. One sister – Rose Marie (Edward) Pobuda of Bangor, Michigan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be Thursday, March 17 at 11:00 A.M. at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Linstrom officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church Burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens, Hagar Shores.
