Sandra Lynn's Obituary
Sandra Lynn Brower, 70, of South Haven died Monday, March 7 at South Haven Community Hospital.
She was born July 21, 1940 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to John Gordon and Eleanor (Warners) Taylor. Sandra graduated from Grand Rapids Community College Nursing School as an LPN. She married Alvern Brower on September 14, 1962. Sandra worked at many area hospitals, nursing homes and for Doctors Carson, Allen, and Liscow, Hospice and Alpha Christian Registry. She was a former member of Hope Reformed Church Choir. Sandra was the volunteer Music Coordinator for Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool and played piano for Kibbie Christian Reformed Church where she was a former member of the worship committee. Sandra enjoyed singing, playing piano, reading, traveling the world, sewing, knitting, crocheting and supporting sons and grandkids watching their sporting events.
She is preceded in death with her father – John Gordon Taylor, her husband – Alvern Brower who died February 15, 2011 and granddaughter – McClaren Brower.
She is survived by her sons – Gregory (Carol Ann) Brower of St. Joseph, MO., Commander Rodney (Pattie) Brower of Brussels, Belgium, Eric Brower and Thomas (Mechele) Brower of South Haven, Michigan. Grandchildren – Braden, Cody, Taylor, Joshua, Cameron, Jolie, Elijah and Preston Brower. Her mother – Eleanor Taylor of Jenison, Michigan. Brother – Keith (Jackie) Taylor of Hudsonville, Michigan and sister – Yvonne (Paul) Bodnar of Dorr, Michigan.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 12 from 11 A.M.– 1 P.M. at the Kibbie Christian Reformed Church. Memorial services will begin Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at the church with Pastor Ron Hassell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool or Kibbie Christian Reformed Church.
